Kraus was charged on June 16 with second-degree murder, two counts of second-degree assault, providing false information to police, vehicular homicide and driving with a canceled license, according to Hennepin County jail records. The 35-year-old Kraus was detained by protesters at the scene of the June 13, 2021, incident, and taken into custody by police.
